Free messenger service

KARACHI: The eTaleem.com has launched
Pakistan's first free instant messenger service
"eMessenger" on Wednesday.
Faisal Anwar and K M Jilani unveiled the software
at a press conference here on Wednesday. They
said that eTaleem.com's in-house production
team has developed it.
They said "eMessenger" could be downloaded directly
from the their website - eTaleem.com. People
who converse with the user and are added to
his/her list have been termed "buddies".
Faisal says "eMessenger" would allow people
to communicate in real time text. "The software
offers more than just chatting opportunities,"
he said, adding the user could also use other
features, such as search facility, search jobs
online, greeting cards, news update, eBriefcase,
online blood donors and online help.
Jilani disclosed that the next version of the
software would also have language convertion
ability i.e, English to Urdu, SMS service facility
and voice conversation option. The voice conversation
option will enable the users to converse through
a PC to PC connection.
He says Pakistan is ready for the IT revolution,
"We should work together and put all our efforts
in order to make the environment more conducive
to the software industry,"
